ps2 DRE was just as big,i know people on their 7th ps2's back then. also ps1 had overheating issued where you ad to turn it upside down to fix it. ps3 had yellow lights and blu ray drives break.

They would not throw it all away just for blu ray. I don't think blu ray can make more money for them than playstation. They simply took the risk of adding this just like they did with cd for ps1 and dvd for ps2. only reason 360 is selling is because they had to drop the price since it was getting outsold by a more expensive ps3 earlier this year. it did turn out to be year of the ps3,it has the superior lineup,even ign agreed. I know they are revealing new game next year but nothing of the caliber of gears 2. They put out both their games and now they have nothing. Think about their titles,now think of any one that can go against gt 5 or god of war 3.
